A brief history of the company -
- The company Alfred Gutmann was founded in 1885 by the engineer Alfred Gutmann in Altona Ottensen (Hamburg), as an engineering works constructing foundry equipment.
- In 1886 the company received a patent for freeblast equipment to frost glass sheets, this was the beginning of surface treatment machines.
- The first shot blast machine, equipped with a striking blade system, was built in the thirties and in the 1950's, a shot blast wheel was designed by and patented for Gutmann with shot acceleration by air.
- Foundry equipment and shot blast machines were the focus until the 1970's.
