TOP PERFORMANCE
Turbotron centrifugal machines are characterised by extremely intensive processing. Compared to vibratory finishing systems, centrifugal disc machines offer up to 20 times higher grinding performance. Centrifugal disc machines are ideally suited for:
HOW IT WORKS... The rotating spinner (60-250rpm) accelerates the work piece/media mass to the wall of the stationary work bowl and pushes the mass upwards along the work bowl wall. With decreasing acceleration and increasing gravity the mass slides back down to the spinner where it is again accelerated.
EFFICIENCY... The centrifugal force generates high pressure and an intensive relative movement between the parts and media creating a high grinding intensity, resulting in short cycle times.
VARIABLE PROCESSING INTENSITY... Besides aggressive deburring and radiusing, Turbotron centrifugal disc finishing machines also permit gentle smoothing and polishing of delicate and very thin components.
MODULAR MACHINES... Contrary to double batch machines with integrated loader, intermediate hopper, screening machine and media return conveyor, Trowal modular centrifugal disc machines do not have any of these integrated peripheral components. The work bowl is either pivoted by hand, pnuematically or hydraulically. Modular centrifugal disc finishing machines are mainly used for manual operation. However, by adding peripheral equipment like loading and screening systems they can be partially automated.
